I threw 21″ platter using two 7lb clay. The latest batch of clay is very soft, it was very easy to throw. For the small pieces, I am having the hard time not collasping as my wall is thin. I used the heat gun to stiff up the clay just before the final shaping. Then, I added the fulted rim.
